We all may know about praying, why we pray, how to pray and what to pray. But how many times we find that we seldom pray or maybe just pray casually. Busyness and routines may have overtaken our time or probably comfort zone and ignorance had set prayer far aside. Prayer is pivotal but yet we often disregard it. Kinds of prayer even the simplest one had been taught by ministers and leaders yet often less and lesser people take part in prayer time. Encouragement and exhortation seemed to keep pushing us to pray yet how quick we see they elapse and find ourselves back at square one. There are not enough words to propel us. Prayer is our lifeline. Prayer is the way where we can talk to God directly and hear what He has to say to us, to spend time with Him and build intimacy with God. Prayer lines us up to His will and grows us in maturity and understanding. It is the power behind, in the mist of, and in front of the faith. To be effective in our growth in Christ, we have to be a person who prays-and prays regularly. Nothing of value can embed in or through our lives without prayer. So, there is no other option... It is time for all of us to be back to basic, back to pray!... Let’s do it! |
So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Luke 11:9) “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7) “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24). |
